Where to Breastfeed and Change a Baby in Hong Kong

Hong Kong Island
- Admiralty, Marriott, Conrad or Shangri-La – most five-star hotels have washrooms with a bench and mirror. Also look for the more secluded chairs in lobbies.
- Admiralty, Pacific Place (Great/Seibu) – disabled toilet has a baby change table.
- Central, IFC 2 – ladies toilet near Starbucks has a fitted-out baby change/nursing room with bottle warmer and wipes. P3 near Lane Crawford has a small room (which Men can use too) with a chair, sink, wipes and bottle warmer.
- Central, Prince's Building – has a change table.
Central, Bumps to Babes – has converted a dressing room into a change table and feeding room. Also has a small set of stairs to reach the shop.
Central, Annerley Midwifes (Lyndhurst Terrace) – there are stairs to get to it though.
Central, Eugene Store – has a “feeding room” (a dressing room with a small stool in it to sit on). Another dressing room has been converted into a nappy change area.
Causeway Bay, World Trade Centre – website states that Podium 2 and 4 offer nursery corners. Let me know what you think of them, as I have no further feedback!
Causeway Bay, Times Square – 9/F has a small nursing room with nappy change facilities and a bottle warmer. Lane Crawford toilet has a chair and counter.
Causeway Bay, Lee Gardens – on the floor with all the baby shops has a nice room with changer and couch to breastfeed.
Causeway Bay, Lee Gardens II – the garden outside Habitu, very quiet in the far corner; however, you are surrounded by tall buildings.
Tai Koo, Jusco Department Store – on the 2nd floor near the baby department there is a nappy change area and a place to breastfeed.
Central, 360 (Landmark) – inside the restaurant/cafeteria is a change table. The attendant even provides plastic baggies and wipes!
Kowloon
- T.S.T, Peninsula Hotel, and Hong Kong Hotel – Most five-star hotels in Kowloon will offer nappy change tables/nursing facilities.
- T.S.T, Harbour City (Ocean Terminal – near Toys R Us) – there is a special glassed-in area under the escalator to feed and change babies. On the same floor in the ladies toilet is a baby change table. Men’s toilet on the same floor (the one in the centre) has a nappy change table.
- T.S.T, Harbour City (Gateway Arcade – near Zara) – in the “Shopper’s Care Centre” on Level 2 is a nursing room and baby change table. The website also says they offer baby food re-heating, loan strollers and have a kid’s corner (although I don’t remember seeing them).
- T.S.T, Sogo – baby change and nursing room.
- Olympic MTR station/shopping centre - Padded sofas and cubicles with lockable stalls to breastfeed in.
- Kowloon Tong, Festival Walk – L-2 toilets behind Toys R Us. They have a nursing room which is locked from the outside so you need to ask the attendant/security guard to let you in. They will take your name and ask how long you need the room for and if it is OK to share the room with one other mother and child (max two at a time). Great clean facilities and privacy for nursing mothers. Website also says that nappy change facilities are also located on LG2 either end of mall, LG1 near M&S, UG near ice rink, L1 opp end from Espirit, L2 near Toys r Us.
- Sha Tin – Ikea has a poor excuse for a change table (but works!). Also the toilets on the same floor as Eugene Club have a change table but always has long line.
- Hunghom, Jusco – has baby change table near the toys section.
- Tsing Yi, Martime Square – baby change facilities on every floor except level 1.
- Tseung Kwan O, Metrocity Plaza 2 – has baby change facilities.
Other
- Pacific Coffee and Starbuck's shops – most have large chairs and some even have play areas for older children.
- Many of the newer Superstore Park N Shops have baby change/nursing areas with chairs in them. Festival Walk (Kowloon Tong), Paradise Mall (Heng Fa Chuen), Maritime Square (Tsing Yi), Citygate (Tung Chung), Discovery Bay.
- All Mothercare stores have changing areas and usually a chair to sit on. The stores are in Prince's Building, Ocean Terminal, Windsor House and New Town Plaza (Shatin).
- Try the changing rooms of Marks and Spencer, Wing On, Lane Crawford or UNY. If they are not too busy they will usually let you use a room. Sometimes there are chairs. If not, the carpets are relatively clean.
- Ikea in Causeway Bay, Shatin and Prince Edward (not far from Fa Yuen Street market) have changing tables and sometimes a chair (Causeway Bay store has a dedicated nursing room with a comfortable (Ikea) chair, water dispenser, wipes and changing table). Try the cafeteria for breastfeeding. Usually quiet.
- Discovery Bay/Star Ferries – the rocking motion will even help baby fall asleep!
- Try feeding in McDonald's or a Chinese Dim Sum type restaurant. They are always noisy, so breastfeeding seems less obtrusive.
- Dan Ryans, is a good place to eat with kids and they have changing tables.
- Jaspas Restaurant, Sai Kung and Central – a good place to eat with kids, very comfortable with breastfeeding mums in the restaurant.
- Lantau Island, Disneyland – has a TV playing Disney movies for toddlers, curtained nursing booths, cushy change tables, high chairs and the like – very plush!
- Airport – has good nursing and baby change facilities.
