I am new to HK (about 2 weeks) I have a 3yr old and 2yr old (both girls) and just taken an apartment in Sai Wan Ho. Is anyone in the same situation and would like to meet? Or can someone point me in the direction of a close playgroup. I would love to meet some people!Thanks Fiona

I noticed you hadn't had any replies yet and remembering what it was like when we first arrived (3 months ago) I wanted to reassure you that its very easy to get to know people here and I am sure you will soon settle in... I don't have children for yours to play with unfortunately (one on the way), but I'm sure you will soon get to meet other mums and make some friends.

Hi, welcome to HK! I live in Island Resort (just a bit further down from where you are) and have a 3yo and a 16-month old (boy and girl, respectively). We can arrange for some playdates if you won't mind coming over. Please PM me if interested.

If you don't mind going to Heng Fa Chuen (a couple of MTR stations away from Sai Wan Ho), there is HKPPA center there that you can join. You can check them out via this link: http://hkppa.org/heng-fa-chuen/heng-fa-chuen They're not expensive at all; each 2-hour session comes out to around HK$70 and includes arts and crafts, snack time, circle time, free play, etc.

I wonder why the one in Tin Hau is so much more expensive. Their cheapest rate is Spring Term at $2,000 for a once a week visit!
Has anyone been there?
