4 weeks is still very young, my son didn't really have a day and night schedule till 8 weeks, I think its quite natural to be awake more at night until your baby sorts out his/her 24 hour body clock. But I'm sure you're tired! Are you breast feeding or bottle feeding? If you're breast feeding, try feeding more at day time as you can't overfeed on breastmilk, since you mention that feeding him seems to help him/her settle? If bottle feeding- try a little water at night, then he might feed more during the day?

I agree with the findings of the reaserch (posted by Rani), I probably rushed to my baby too quickly at nighttime. I was breastfeeding and i got to him in less then 15 seconds! Then when I swapped to bottle feeding and had to heat the bottle first, sometimes he'd fallen back to sleep before I had got it ready!
