| PCOS- bad experience with doctor Hi,
I've just had my 2nd appointment with a doctor who I'd read many good reviews about on these forums. I'd already been diagnosed with PCOS in the UK, and as we are trying to conceive when I went to the HK doctor for the first time she put me straight on Metformin and Clomid, and told me to come back on day 2 of my next cycle. When I went back, the first thing she asked was whether I was trying to get pregnant. I would have hoped she could have at least remembered that much! Then, when I asked if the Clomid had worked she said it was impossible to tell as I hadn't come back mid-cycle, when she hadn't asked me to. She then increased my metformin dosage and gave me another cycle of Clomid, but made some off the cuff remark about how she didn't think it was going to work, so I'll probably have to start injecting myself. I've never even heard of this, but I left the appointment feeling totally confused and hopeless.
Has anyone else had similar experiences in HK? Or can anyone recommend a better doctor? Like I said, I've read reviews of women raving abuot her success rate, so I don't knwo whether to stick with her.
Any help would be very gratefully received! |
