Thank you both for replying. No, in the Uk I had just had the blood tests and ultra sound and was waiting to get an appointment with a fertility specialist, so I only started treatment here. The second appointment I went to was the only time she's taken tests since I started, yet she increased my Metformin to 2500mg per day, and made the comment about injectibles. I don't see what she could have based these things on as she didn't have any results from blood tests since I'd started treatment. The other thing that I didn't find very helpful was that both times I've seen her she's made a point of saying how hairy I am, when I've actually (thankfully) never suffered much with the obvious physical symptoms of PCOS...or so I thought?!
Either way, I'm going back on Tuesday so I'll see how that goes and if there's no improvement I might start looking elsewhere.
