Where to buy birth ball?
I'd like to buy a birth ball/exercise ball.
Any tips on where to pick one up?
It was suggested California Fitness or Marathon Sports, but neither of them carried them.
Thanks!

Are you using this for birthing or exercise? If birthing, where are you delivering? Matilda has birthing balls available.

Bith balls are large rubber balls which are used to isolate and exercise abdominal and pelvis muscles. They are also used during labour to encourage the baby to move to the correct position and to speed along the dilation of the cervix.
You can get a list of companies that supply birthballs/exercise balls from Tsan Yuk Hospitals physio department. They also do classes in how to use the ball.
Check where the ball is manufactured and the maximum weight it can take (most locally made balls can only take 150kg, which is not enough because you exert more pressure on the ball when using it, than your stationery weight).
The average price is $270 to $400.
