Martha twins how old is your baby? In general I agree with soon2bmom and kinghk, its the brushing that counts not the toothpaste particularly if they are very young and I have brushed my teeth in front of my little one and she follows the leader!
Finally if your baby resists tooth brushing at times, it may be pertinent to leave it for a few days and on the days that she doesn't brush you ensure they have a drink of water before going to bed to decrease the amount of food/milk ect in her mouth and secondly, don't feed her any food within 2 hours of bed time as saliva has natural antibodies which help deal with bacteria.
Hope this helps!
