Introduction!
Hello everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. I realise that I am replying to an existing thread, but haven't worked out how I can introduce myself otherwise!! My name is Melissa and I have an eight month old daughter.
I was wondering...does anyone know of any way I might be able to order a crib from the US (it's important that I have a crib that meets US size standards as all my baby beddings fit US sized cribs)? I'd be so grateful for anyone who has any suggestions!!

Hi Melissa,
There is a service called US Buying Agent in HK. They will order from any US company and deliver to HK.
Their charges are something like 15% of the purchase price plus delivery charges to HK. You end up paying delivery twice... once to their location (California maybe?) and then to HK.
It's pricey, but if you have seen something you really like, then it may be worth investigating. You can buy from a bunch of different stores and have them consolidate into one shipment. I haven't actually used them myself so I can't give you any firsthand experience.

Twinkle,
Do you have an address or contact of the US buying agent?

On a related question, can anyone give me the mattress size of a standard US crib/cot?
I have an antique cot for which I have had trouble finding linen as it is larger than the Australian standard size cots of today, but someone told m,e that the US standard size is bigger?
Any information appreciated.

Becky,
I think the standard crib mattress size is 52"L x 28"W.
Twinkle,
I had a look through the US buying agent site. A couple of things that caught my attention.
1. You have to transfer 50% of the money into their bank a/c before they order the item for you. And this is non-refundable? Seems a bit risky don't u think? What happens if the product is no longer available?
2. There's no info on who they are.Founded GeoBaby in 2002
