    Question where to donate clothes?

after doing a "clean up" of my daughters wardrobe i am left with two large bags of un-needed clothes (wow, it's remarkable how quickly they grow! and yes, she had that many! )
Mainly basics of sleep suits etc but would like to donate them
(In excellent condition, half her clothes she only wore once!)
i was told "mothers choice" are already bombarded, so would appreciate if you could recommend someone / somewhere else ;-)
please email [email protected] if you or someone/somewhere would like them.
    thanks for your help!

    Hi Anna,

As I live in Happy Valley, I give my girl's used clothes to the Po Leung Kuk orphanage (www.poleungkuk.org.hk) on Leigton Road. I understand that the Salvation Army (www.salvation.org.hk) takes old clothes as well.

    Anna,

I just donated a bag of clothes to Christian Action. They launched a Used Clothes drive earlier this year.

You can fill out the form online and they'll come and pick up the clothes within a few days.

I also donated to Christian Action. It took them a month, but they did come :-)

Salvation Army -- you have to drop off the clothes, so it is not as convenient..

Another option is the St. Stephen's Society -- I don't have their number on me at the moment. If they are in need, they also come to pick up donations.

    Try www.crossroads.org.hk

They take just about everything in good condition. The site tells you what they need urgently and what they don't need.

You can either drop off (Kai Tak) or get a pick up.

I have always given our used clothes to our helper - she either takes them to the Catholic Centre for their mission drive, or back to the Philippines when she visits. Earlier this year we did a huge clean out (clothes and toys) and I paid for her to Forex them to an orphanage there.
