Raspberry Tea Leaves

Does anyone know where I can buy raspberry tea leaves. I have heard it is good for labour, I am 29 weeks and would like to start taking them.

raspberry leaf tea

There is a health food shop in Shatin Plaza (off New Town Plaza) that sells it. It tastes good too. My sister is a midwife and she does not recommend taking it before 36 weeks though as some people think it may trigger an early labour. (I drank it everyday after 37 weeks and my son was born only 2 days early). If you don't live near ShaTin, try a health food shop in your area first.

Thanks for the advice dspva. I was wondering whether I should start taking it at 29 weeks as I had read somewhere that the tea has to be drunk for at leat 2 months for it to be effective.

I was also told and I'm afraid I can't remember who by that you shouldn't be taking it until at least 36 weeks.

There is a health food store on Lyndhurst Terrace that carries the tea. It is beside Cafe Siam, across from Pizza Express.

It's meant to be consumed in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters and following delivery, so it should be perfectly safe at 29 weeks. It adds tone to the uterus, helping to ease labor and to speed healing after the delivery. It also stimulates milk production.
