Buying clothes for new born

I'm expecting my first baby end of July - which is one of the hottest months in HK. I am in the process of buying baby clothes, and wondering whether its neccesary to buy sleepsuits (the all in ones that cover the feet as well), or is it too hot in HK for a baby to wear one.

Dhruv was a summer baby too. During the day he wore onesies - and to bed sleepsuits (feet covered) with the a/c on.

My daugther Sarah was born in last July. She had one piece outfits covering her feet, but hardly worn any when she was first born (though she spent most time in air-con). It wasn't until Nov/Dec time that when the weather was cold that she worn those outfits.

For sleeping you can try a sleep sack and just put your baby in a t-shirt (Mothercare does nice ones) and nappy. You can buy a summer weight one that you can use with the aircon on.

I took my baby to Sydney in January when it was stinking hot with no aircon, just a fan, she had a sleeveless sleep sack and only wore a nappy. She was very comfortable in this.
