Children toothpaste

Hi, everyone

I am new in this forum.

I am a fulltime mom with a 3 yrs old son (we just celebrate his bithday last week).
He is now learning to brush his teeth using the toothpaste, but I 'm confuse to choose the rigth toothpaste for him, I don't want to use the commercial toothpaste like we can buy from the Supermarket, but I preffer to use the natural one which don't contain harsh chemicals and safe if swallowed.

Does anybody have this experience before, please give me an idea.

Thanks,
Lily

natural toothpaste

Hi,
You can try burt's bees toothpaste or I also bought one with another brand in central. I forgot teh shop's name but it is on the same street as the old China Products store (now being built into something else).

Hope this helps.

why no commercial toothpaste?

Hi,

What's wrong w/ commercial toothpastes? They are not poisonous and they clean teeth and help to prevent cavities. I tried to get my kids to use some"natural" ones (Tom's of Maine), but they didn't like the taste and I ended up using Colgate (I think) in lurid colors w/ various cartoon characters all over the packaging ((SIGH)). The most important thing is to keep the teeth clean.

That said, you can also by various "natural" toothpastes at Health Gate in Central:
8/F., Hung Tak Building,
106-108 Des Voeux Road Central,
Hong Kong.

In Saikung, you can also buy some "natural" toothpaste in the green shop next to the SPCA.

will try the natural toothpaste

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestions I will buy some natural toothpaste n have a try.

Why I don't want to use the commercial toothpaste because most of them contain Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLS), Sodium flouride and saccharine (artificial sweetener) as this kind of chemicals is toxic to our body.

Our 16 1/2 months old son is using Orajel for toddlers. It's fluoride free and is safe to swallow. Honestly, I never checked to see what ingredients it has... But I just did after having read your post. It doesn't have the 3 ingredients that you're concerned about.
