At what age is it safe for a child to go from car seat to booster seat?

40 lbs is the earliest you'd go to a booster seat. If your car seat is appropriate to use as a car seat higher than 40 lbs you could keep the child into the car seat until she hits the limit on that particular seat. I'm not sure what hte laws in HK say aobut carseats and booster seatrs though.
