mixing breast milk and formula milk ?
my baby will not drink breast milk and will drink only formula milk. Is it ok to mix the two together in the same bottle ?

I've read that it's ok to mix breast milk with formula; the only reason it's not recommended is because you don't want to waste your breast milk and want the baby to have as much breastmilk as possible followed by a formula top-up.
However in your case I guess you don't have the option of feeding breastmilk first and then formula so I suppose for your baby getting some breastmilk is better than getting none at all.

Which formula does yr baby drink? Some are quite sweet and maybe this is why yr baby prefers it to breastmilk?

I chose Cow & Gate because I was fed on this as a baby, I'm not familiar with any other brand. Which brands are less sweet?

I don't know if goat's milk is available in HK but it tastes closest to breastmilk. As for better tasting milk, you can try the Enfa-XXX A+ line. They tastes like milk and do not come in vanilla flavour. Hope this helps.

You can buy goat's milk in City Super, IFC and UNY, Tai Koo Shing. The brand is called Karihome.

how old is your baby?
you know that after one year, cow's milk is ok..
otherwise, I would say that if the mixed breastmilk and formula is drunk on the spot.. why not but not to be conversed afterwards.
by the way, I also gave cow & gate to my first child on top of being breastfed and the differences of tastes never sounded to bother her.

quick question... i had a small taste of my breastmilk and it is on the sweet side.. is this normal? or should i be cutting down on my sugar intake? i just thought it was normal til i read above that perhaps your daughter may not be drinking cows and gate as it is more on the sweet side
thanks
