Cast of babys hand and feet

Hi

I'd like to have a cast made of our babys hands and feet, similar to the attached

http://www.firstimpressions.org.uk/firstimpressions.html

Does anyone know where we can get this done.

Thanks

Any cheaper choices???

Hi Rani and everyone!

I'd like to cast my newborn's feet and hands, but "Wrightson and Platt" are so expensive. Don't really wanna spend that much money for something cute but non useful. Does anyone know where to get similar things done cheaper in HK?

Thanks,
D.S

D.S,

Can I ask how much they quoted you?

If you're interested in a DIY kit, we're selling the Patty Cakes Tower on ShopinHK.

Patty Cakes:

The Patty Cakes Tower is a set of 5 handprint kits to fit the hand of your child from age 1 through 5 (from 4"-6"). Do one kit every year and watch your precious child grow - you can do a footprint, too.

Thanks Rani!

I'll take a look at the link you send me. Maybe I gotta try DIY if can't find anyother places.

To be honest, I haven't asked a quote from them, but on their site is about 6600 HKD. So for me, that's a bit too pricy!

Hi,
They are expensive, but in my opinion well worth it. We had my daughter's feet cast in bronze and they are fantastic to hold. Although she's only a few months older than when she had them done, you can see how much she has grown. We decided that she was only going to be that age once, so we would go for it despite the expense. When my son was the same age we had the imprints of his hands and feet done in clay. They are also wonderful, though what I like about the bronze is you can pick them up and feel them (my son's hands and feet are in a glass frame). The lady who takes the moulds is great and incredibly patient. Hope that helps in your decision.

Jools

Red face cast of hands

Hello to everyone....

I have done this hand and foot impression thing for my baby ...from T.S.T. But mine is in Wax...i guess they do it in bronze as well. This is when you go to Star Avenue. Its a very small shop. Its very cheap....around or within $200. Its worth but the only thing is you have to keep it in a safe place like away from sunlight and heat.

I hope this helps.
bye

Thanks Pragya and Jools for your input. I'll consider both options.
