How to keep 3 year old blanket on?

My 3 year old always kicks away his blanket when sleeping. I can only wake up so many times in the night to cover him again. As a result he always catches a cold in the night. With the cooler weather now I am wondering how other parents keep their kids' blankets tucked in throughout the night. I used sleeping bags when he was younger but it seems that Grobag only do sleeping bags up to 3 years old.

This is what I do but still he kicks them off or somehow manages to wriggle out in the night.

I have the same problem...the only solution that works for me now is to dress him really warmly so I don't have to worry about the blanket being kicked off.

We have the same problem. I also add an xtra layer of clothing at night for D. Plus I just bought some sleepers which cover his feet cos he also hates socks.

I have exactly the same problem with my 15 month old son, he won't keep the blankets on. So last year we bought him a "Grobag". Its like a sleeping bag but the arms are free. They come in different thicknesses (tog values) and sizes. Last week with the change in weather my son woke-up with the cold so we've just bought the 18 months-3 years old size, but I understand there is a 3-5 year old size as well. I bought it in Mothercare, but Bumps to Babes sell them as well. It wasn't cheap ($400) dollars, but he hasn't woken-up at night since.

Thanks all I will see if I can find "bags" for over 3 year old as my son is pretty tall.
