    real milk

last time i was in hong kong I couldn't find any real milk, All the milk I saw was made from powdered milk. Can you buy real cow's milk ? Are there any stores which sell more western type foods and cuts of meat?

try the two major supermarkets, park'n'shop or wellcome (can also be found at citysuper, great, oliver's uni, etc)... milk is at ALL of them, granted it costs about 5 times as much as in canada/usa, but it's there....

That is where it was bought. The first time I didn't look at the ingredients, it tasted like powdered milk, and sure enough when I looked, it was, the next time I bought a different type , the ingredients looked to be fresh milk, but it still tasted awlful.

If you look carefully at the ingredients, you will find that a lot of the milk in HK is in fact powdered milk. Trappist I believe is from real cows milk.

can you believe that i've lived in HK for almost 10 years and i've never actually looked at the ingredients on the milk (have checked out the chocolate milk and have noticed that it's made from powdered stuff though)

Yeah same here, up until recently I always assumed the milk on supermarket shelves was cows milk, until a friend mentioned that they are in fact powdered - hence the watered down taste.
