Unhappy Need a breast pump urgently-help!!!

My Medela mini electric pump broke down all of a sudden this evening and my engorgement is killing me. I am afraid if this will decrease my supply too. But i think the shop in Causeway Bay will be closed tomorrow and the day after.

Any of you have an used breast pump to sell or to lend? Please call 91041440, I speak both english and cantonese.

Ouch! Please help. I can come and pick it up at anytime and anywhere.

Amost forgot to wish all of you a happy 2005.

Best,
Cha Cha

Cha Cha:

I have the same breast pump you were using, and I'm more than happy to lend it to you. I'm in Discovery Bay though, so it might not be the most convenient for you to pick up. Please feel free to call me if you need it.

Sara.

Smile Thanks Sara

Hi Sara,

Thank you so much for your offer, dh was saying that on one would help but you made him wrong.

I found a new medela shop at North Point from their website, its just 5 minutes from home. So we brought the bump over and finally realised that it was only the adapter that wasn't working, so we brought a new adapter and the bump worked again!

This is so nice to know a good person like you on the very first day of 2005!

Happy new year to you and your family!

Chacha

Dear Cha Cha,

It is good that you were able to replace your pump in time – Hong Kong is wonderful in that it never seems to close. But it is useful to know a hand expression technique, just in case.

The Marmet Technique is a very popular one. There are instruction at, http://www.lactationinstitute.org/MANUALEX.html

Best wishes,
Barb
