    Holidaying with Child

I would normally go back to UK for the summer holidays but this year shall not due to unforseen issues. Anyway, I want to go somewhere with my 4 year old. It will be the 2 of us as daddy is busy. I am a little scared to go alone and an trying to find a friend to go with.
Where could i go? Somewhere not too expensive or difficult to get around.
    Suggestions would be great, thanks.
And, has anyone here ever travelled alone with their kids?

an easy place with that age child is singapore. the zoo is fantastic for little kids, can make 2 trips out of it because there's a special kids play area where you can spend a whole morning not to mention the zoo itself, feed the fish n turtles at the botanical garden, go bike riding at east coast park, go for a bum boat ride a couple of times, get a cone shaped dosai in little india, play at the beach in sentosa (though the water is dubious), ride the tram at sentosa, go to old battle ground in ft canning park. a good place to stay with a child is great world city serviced apartments (min 1 weeks stay) because they have a fabulous indoor and outdoor play area, not to mention pool. oh, and they will negotiate a bit! good luck.
