Southside Pre-School, Repulse Bay - Recommended?

We are considering a number of pre-schools for our 2 and a half year old. Ideally a friendly fun environment without too much formality and where the children can enjoy plenty of active play.

I was really interested to see if anyone has had experience with Southside. Its seems great but before we take the leap....comments are welcomed!

Are you at all concerned about the academic side of things??? What kind of primary school would you want your kid to get into? These are things that you need to consider when choosing a KG in HK.

Well frankly the academic side of things at 2 and a half are less important. As parents we spend time on ABC, counting etc and he is doing very well so I'm less worried about that.

It's the social interaction and interpersonal skills development, together with level of stimulation that is the key. Many of the kindergarten focus too much on academic and expect the youngsters to sit quietly in a circle for extended periods. We'd prefer a balance of active play and elements of 'fun' learning.

Anyway, different for different folks I guess.
