Which kind of sitting room carpet suits babies - to sit on and play

We bought one wool carpet 1m*2m from Ikea but it does not seem to be suitable - the wool get flying around the floor and all over our baby's clothes and our trousers. She puts her hand in her mouth which means the wool can get into her mouth.

Looks we need to buy another one and can anyone recommend a good material or shop? Thanks.

Wink Floor mat instead of wool carpet

Hi Alica,
I brought plastic floor mat instead of wool carpet.
As you know, carpet will easy to get dirty and babies will put the dust into their mouth. I think floor mat is better than carpet.
However, you should choose high quality one.
I brought 2' X 2' floor mat in MegaIdea which located in Kwai Fong. I remember they have a branch in Olympia City. That's $69/4 pieces.
That's easy to clean. We will clean that everyday.
Moreover, don't buy the floor mat with "ABC". Most of the floor mat with "ABC" can be taking out. My son ate the "o" and "l" into his mouth before so that I throw all of the floor mat away.

Hope it can help.

We had considered buying a rug/carpet as well, but in the end opted for ABC mats which so far have worked for us, we bought the more expensive ones from ToysRUs (the letters don't come off so easily), rather than the 10 dollar packs that you can get from Japan Home Stores.
