Midwife : could someone make a recommendation

I previously gave birth at the Adventist, but some of the nurses and midwives were not as helpful as I had hoped with my breast feeding. I will probably be going back there later this year for my second child, but was wondering if anyone knew the names of any midwives who they thought were good at this hospital?

Ok I just pulled out Dhruv's baby book to see if I had written down the name of the mid-wife that took care of us. Her name is Pauline and she was brilliant! She didn't leave me for a second. Dr Sally Ferguson was at the hospital at the same time with an emergency and she called Pauline quite a few times to assist her, but she didn't go. There was a shift change and another mid-wife took over from Pauline who was good too! Unfortunately, I didn't write down her name.

Maybe someone who has delivered recently can help?

hey there! i had my daughter there last november and the mid wife who assisted me was 'Poon'. she was with me from the time i checked in and through my labour until baby was born. She was absolutely fantastic. Dont remember any of the other mid wives but honestly everytime i had a prob with the b'feeding ie: latching on probs etc i wud ring the bell and a nurse would come almost immidiately and i didnt encounter even one who was not patient and helpful. they were all fabulous!! cant say enough! hope this helps!

Karishma.
