Maternity Leave problem???
Hello everyone! It is great to be here! I'm a newbie and looking for some advice. :bwinky Here's my question, My husband and I are planning to have a baby by next year but I don't know whether I am entitled of a maternity leave.
I am presently working as an assistant teacher for almost 2 years now. The contract that the school gave me was always for 10 months working period and after that they gave you again a contract for another 10 months and so on and so forth. But in my contract, I've noticed that there's no maternity leave being stated or whatsoever for that matter. How can I be sure whether the school is having a maternity leave or what? I just don't want my Supervisor to know that I'll be planning to conceive by next year b'cuz I'm scared that they will not give me a contract If they found out that I'm planning to get pregnant. Help please! All your advice will be greatly appreciated.
