I've heard it has to do with the alkali and acidity of one's diet. If you like alkali food like milk, then you'll have a boy. If you like lemon tea, then you'll have a girl. I like lemon tea, and another girl I know likes lemon tea. We both have girls.

Rani:

Can I asked you a very nosy question? I mean, how did you do it? for example, if the chart said that you're going to have a boy this April-May, are you going to "do it" the first or second week of the month just to be sure of the gender?

As for a chan the same question applies to you too?

I am really obsessed of having a baby boy!

I got two boys...both by this "virtue":-
First, make sure your husband hits the gym as much as he can, coz he should get as fit as possible. Second, eat lots of meat as opposed to salad (especially your husband), Third, hold on to his soldiers til the day you are most fertile. Fourth, you and your husband (and especially your husband) must not be stressful or travel too much due to work or whatever, as stressed out husband somehow have bigger chance in getting girls.

There are also this interesting website:-
http://www.in-gender.com/Sex_Selection/

And an interesting gadget:-

Hope these help!

Thanks for all the info, ladies! I found the shettle's method a bit complicated though. I'll sticked to the chinese birthing chart as it is easier to follow..

Cheers to all the mom's out there!

Accurate for daughter # 1.

Wrong for daughter #2.

But hey, they have a 50% chance of being right !

I LOVE being mummy to girls (#2 is due in March 06) and wouldn't change it for the world. But I'm not Chinese, so no pressure. I didn't care what gender I had and didn't do anything special to have girls.

I must confess I find it a bit sad that parents prefer one gender over another. Especially in China where it is clear there will be social problems in the future with such a huge oversupply of boys. Isn't there something like 110 boys for every girl in China? I think this town needs a few more girls !

If you are sure that is what you want, I would stick to a more scientific method like Shettles.
