Mandarin Pre-school or Kindergarten
We want to put our 2 yr old next year in a Pre-school / Kindergarden that is primarily Putunghua.
I do not need an International School, but most of the Local schools I have visitied have instruction in Cantonese and then once a week in Putonghua.
Does anyone know of a K1 / K2 programme that teaches 50% english / Putonghua?
I think 3 languages woudl confuse him - so if I can would like to find him some where that does this.
Thanks
Tans

Hello Altans,
You could try Kiangsu & Chekiang Int'l kindergarten located at North Point, they offer a daily Putonghua lesson. You can contact them at this number: 2570 4594 or visit their website: www.kcs.edu.hk I am not so sure about Victoria kindergarten though, I will give you the contact number so you can ask them what questions you want to know. Their are 2 locations: The Westwood (Belcher's) 2542 7006. Causeway Bay 2578 9998. I hope this could help you.

Thanks
Thanks
I have looked both up on Internet and phoned them. Kiang Su only intoriduce Putong Hua at K3 level - as most of the local kindergartens.
I am interested in the Victoria one though and they were very helpful on the phone so have got the forms and will pop down tomorrow to have a look around.
Seems mad to be doing all this when he is only 2!

What's the teaching method in Lingnan? Are they bilingual (English/Mandarin)? I've checked their site but there's no English translation so I can't fully understand.
