Looking for a Baby swimming class
Hi everybody,
I am new in Hongkong and trying to find a place to have swimming classes with my 8 months old daughter and which can be reached by subway since I am all the way out at Gold Coast. Who knows a place and can help me? Does anyone has experience in Babyswimming? How is it? I am worried my baby will be too scared though she likes water, but not over the head.
Thanks
Iris

Swimming at 10 weeks
Hi, I can't answer your question regarding swimming classes for babies here.
However I did start swimming classes in NZ with my little girl when she was 11 weeks, and she loved it. I loved it as well as she got tired very quickly from all the new stimulation (slept for ages).
The classes were based around songs and nursery rhymes. Before we left she had learnt to close her mouth and eyes before going under water, she was 20 weeks old by that stage.
. finding a class, I'm gonna keep a look out it was great fun at home. Perfect place to meet other mums as well

The YMCA in TST has swimming classes. Heated pool and only $590 for 10 sessions. This term has just started so you may want to sign up for the next one which I think is in March or April. We did a term in September when my baby was 10 months and I think we'll sign up again for the next round.

Question: Swim Diapers
Question:
Swim Diapers.
We have some, and they contain the poo, but not the wee.
Is this a problem for pools? As far as I can tell, nothing can contain the wee because if they absorb water, they would absorb the pool water and just get really heavy - so they all seem to only contain the poo.
We have a 1 month old, and we want to start taking him to the indoor heated pool to get him used to the water - he LOVES the warm bath, so we think he will really like this a lot.
Any advice? Feed and Poo before going swimming, don't get his face wet at first, anything else?
Thankscrj
