maternity insurance..any recommendations?

i am planning to have a second baby. i gave a birth to my first child at adventist (which was a very good experience), but i spent a lot of money since my husband's company's insurance doesn't cover the pregnancy. so, for the second baby, i would like to buy insurance that covers pregnancy & c cection at the private hospital.any recommendations?

Hi Tarakoo,

Have a read through some of the similar threads below. There are quite a few different insurance plans. However, the majority do not cover maternity for the first 10-12 months.

Thank you Rani. I read through the threads below, and seems like IHI is the only one which covers 100%. Does anyone know contact number of IHI?

Talking Allianz

Allianz covers 100% (the international plan, not the Asia plan) You can make it cheaper by getting worldwide except USA.

The paid for private room at Matilda and all doctor fees - almost 100K in expenses without a problem. They also covered all my ulstrasounds and doctor's appoinments and even the Annerley Midwife package!! We were so impressed and pleased with their extensive coverage.

IHI also covers in full, and has the added benefit of covereing two children up to the age of ten with no additional cost. IHI is worldwide including USA.

There is a 10 month waiting period.

Good luck!

crj -- sorry, we cannot publically recommend the provider that you had mentioned in your post. If you do wish to pass recommendations -- send them via PM, not on the public forums.

Thanks.
