Question Help, my 2.5 year daughter caughed all night

Hi, everyone

My daughter has an infection in her breathinging windpipes which lead to the lung. She had a high tempreture. I took her to see our daughter on Monday.
Yesterday evening during her sleep she was caughing every 5 minutes and no medcine help at all. I was exhausted and extremely worried.

Is there anything I can do?

I hope your DD is feeling a bit better now. It's hard isn't it? Mine had a chest infection not long ago. I noticed that apart from the coughs, she was also breathing funnily. Her little chest was just going in and out really quickly and was making a funny noise, bless her, she was wheezing. The doctor prescribed antibiotics for her chest infection which helped a bit. DD was also prescribed an inhaler to help with her wheezing. After a few days she was a lot better and only had the occasional coughs for another week or so.

It sometimes takes longer for the coughing to go away anyway. Perhaps your DD just found it a bit irritating at night. If you think your DD might have symtoms of wheezing then take her to the doctors again. Hope she gets well soon.
