Pre-school/educational playgroups for 1-year old
Hi
My son is approaching a year and is quite advanced for his age. Has anybody heard of pre-schools for 1-year olds? I liked the principals and overall approach of Busy Hands - a private Montessori playgroup. But it seems to be for older kids. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I assume you're in Pok Fu Lam too. You can try the Woodlands playgroup in Scenic Villas. There's also Sunshine House in Chi Fu and the HKPPA in Mid-Levels.
D started at BusyHands when he was 2 and was there for a year and half. Its a nice playgroup, and its perfect till about 3. After which I would definitely recommend kindergarten, otherwise the kids get too comfortable in a small group and aren't being challenged and exposed to new activities and people.Last edited by rani; 04-26-2006 at 11:19 PM.

Hi Rani,
Could you tell me more about BusyHands? Do they run it in the weekend? I am looking for a place where I can take my little one when I am not at work.

If Tai Hang area is not too far away for you, you might want to check out Hilltots as well. Hilltots is under HKPPA, so you will be able to find it at: http://www.hkppa.org.
My son goes to Hilltots Preschool Group since he was 11 month. He is now two years old and still goes there 5 times a week. My elder went there from 11 month to 3 yr old as well.
I am faithful to Hilltots because the supervisor was very different from the others. You will know what I mean if you see her. Personally, I think she is after educating the children rather than profits.

I don't think she's doing any classes over the summer. As you're in Mid-Levels why don't you try the Tregunter playgroup? Call Ruchika at 92226269 for more info.
