Wonderful seeing everyone yesterday. What a great group!
I just wanted to follow up on the book I mentioned about bringing up your child with two languages. The title of the book is:
Growing Up With Two Languages - A Practical Guide
By Una Cunningham-Andersson and Staffan Andersson
ISBN 0415333326
It is a small book, easy to read and full of a lot of insight directly from parents and their experiences. It gives some practical advice and the different scenarios that worked/and didn't work for different families.
I would think the book stores here would be able to get it if they don't already have it. I purchased it from Waterstones in Europe, and I put in an inquiry at Dymock's here to see if they carry it.
If anyone else has heard of any good information regarding bringing a child up multilingually, please share.
Looking forward to our next luncheon.

10 pregnant women yesterday! Wasn't that FUN! I very much enjoyed it and look forward to our next gathering in 2 weeks time at Grappas!
OK my due stats:
Initially expected due date: Nov 20th
Then found out we're having twin girls
Doc has proposed 36~37 weeks
which means end-Oct/beg-Nov
Woooohooooo! What's everyone elses due dates?

Hi ladies,
It was really great to meet you all, I had a fabulous time. Can't wait for our next gathering !
It was a lot of names for me to remember though ... am generally not that good with names, but now the pregnancy brain is not helping. Can you help me put a name on a face by sending a quick message and sign with your real name and maybe your due date so we keep track of this too ??? hope you don't mind !
thanks a lot !
