I've been using a portable high chair which you attach to a normal chair and find it's very versatile and easy to use and maintain. We travel alot and take it with us when we go on long trips. The chair comes with a detachable tray and when the baby is older you can use it as a booster seat and sit at the table. The one I have is by Fisher Price.

my daughter started using Stokke when she was 9 mths old. I really like it so far since it is easy to clean, except for the harness which tends to trap food. I got my Stokke in the US for USD 200. I am sure it will be more expensive in HK.
You can also try the Svan high chair. It is more expensive but got a tray. However, i didn't really need a tray that;s why I opted for Stokke.

I like the booster seat from ToysRus (Safety 1st) which has a detachable tray and is a real space-saver. Only about HK$200 I recall.

thanx for the replies and suggestion- another question, is using the portable highchair that you place onto a regular chair safe? i mean does the baby risk toppling over?

The booster seat I have has two lots of adjustable straps, one going under the chair seat and one going around the back. The child is also strapped to the seat. So I can't see it toppling over unless you have a very rickety chair.

Stark/maclaren chair???
Anyone seen the Stark chair for Maclaren in Hong Kong?
Saw it in an English baby mag and wonder if anyone has seen or had experience with the real thing...
blurb says it folds down small ( we live in tiny apartment)
