Hi Isha77,
I know a few people who live in HLY/Yuen Long/Tai Po area go to Union Hospital near Shatin. I believe they have a private ped dept which is supposed to be very good.

Hi MickyWon, not sure if you have looked at the list of peds 'attached' to the hospital where your wife will deliver?
We are using Dr Ken Chan (or KN Chan). He has a clinic in Central, but is the resident ped at Matilda Hospital where I deliver. He is patient and good, and could more easily be on standby for my delivery. Something to consider... :)

I also had Dr Ken Chan for the birth of my son and he was wonderfully patient and very good. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I am also looking for a pediatrician with excellent diagnostic skills. My current one was not able to diagnose my baby's reflux even though she was showing the classic symptoms. Finally took her to a specialist who was able to help. That specialist also did a very thorough checkup and identified things that the pediatrician didn't do.
An initial diagnosis from the original pediatrician would have saved months of stress and unnecessary tests/hospital trips. I also resent the implication he made that we forcefeeding the baby and causing her feeding problem.

In Central, we use Dr. Leo Chan who has been great and his nurse staff are excellent. He has diagnosed all of our son's illnesses perfectly even on the telephone. I've read some earlier posts about him that were not as positive, but we've loved him! He is affiliated with HK Sanatorium.
On the southside, we see Dr. Thondup in Repulse Bay. he ha a very zen like approach, but we like his practice and the other doctor who is with him - female and her name totally escapes me now. He is affiliated with Adventist.
