4 Feeds are enough for 5 month old?
Dear All,
My 5.5 months old baby eating schedule is like this now:
7:00am Breastfeed (direct sucking)
11:30 to 12:00 Big bowl of rice ceral cooked with breast milk
3:30 to 4:00pm Breastmilk, then snacks (apples pears, or mashed potatoes)
7:00pm breastfeed (direct sucking), then a little bit congee too
then he'll sleep at 9:30 till 6:00am
sometimes I want him to wake up at 11:00pm but he can just sleep through, is he eating less or what? I mean for congee, he can really eat half a bowl...please help.
Regards
Babi

if your baby has healthy weight gain and can tolerate the food, i won't worry about him not eating much.
based on your feeding schedule and menu, i think he is pretty well fed. if you are afraid he is not eating enough, try to increase the portion by 1 oz or so and see if he can finish. also, sleeping is just as important as eating. if he can sleep, let him.
