hey there, any of you have a scan whether you know it's a boy or girl yet?

Hi Dragonsue,

At 12 weeks our doctor indicated with 80% confidence that our babee is a boy. This was again confirmed at 18 weeks. Our babee is due 1 Jan 07.

Just wondering how they can tell at 12 weeks the sex? Did you have an amnio or cvs or something else besides the regular ultrasound?

Maybe with a 4d scan!

We had a 4d scan at 12 weeks but the Doctor wouldn't tell us the sex until we had another 4d scan at 20 weeks (I think because he can be more confident at 20 weeks that he is getting it right :).

We are also expecting a boy (again 80% sure).

I had a regular scan and also a 3D picture taken. My doctor (Dr Dawkins) indicated that our babee was a boy with 80% confidence by looking at the regular scan images. I have looked at the DVD a few times of the 12 week scan and there does appear to be willie! We did have the sex confirmed again at 18 weeks! We also saw our babee in 4D at our detailed scan at 21 weeks.

Hi all,

I had a 3D scan last week (18 weeks) and couldn't find a willie!!
so we are very happy and have gone out buying baby girls clothes! We got pretty good stock in it =)

Congrats dragonsue! A lil girl is great! Hopefully our next one will be a girl! But I am convinced my husband only makes boys!!

Well, I do believe you can tell the sex of your baby at 12 weeks. I did the OSCAR testing at 12 weeks (through Prince of Wales) and they told me they were 70% sure it was a girl and yes, mine was a girl ;-) She's now 2.

I'm trying for my second now. Hee hee
