Kara - i am not really a good cook, but here are samples of recipes for a one day meal for my 14 mth old daughter:
Breakfast
a) 3-4 oz of cow milk mixed with rice milk or soy milk.
b) 5-6 oz of oatmeal (oatmeal + 2 tbps flaxseed + slice of chocolate cheese + blackbean mix from Taiwan)
c) fruit (prunes, pears, avocado, banana)
If she takes alot of banana/avocado, then I will reduce her oatmeal
Lunch
a) porridge cooked with chicken/beef/pork/fish + squash/vege/carrot + cheese
b) for finger food, i either give her the cooked vege, or boil some soba/noodle
Snack
a) 5-6 oz of yogurt (sometimes, blended with fruits such as mango, banana, strawberry, blueberry etc)
b) finger food - crackers or bread/toast or cheese sticks
Dinner
a) usually same as lunch
b) finger food - table food, whatever we cook for dinner
Dessert
a) fruits such as dragon fruits, banana
b) tofu custard/milk
there is also a book called "Mommy Made and daddy too" by Martha and David Kimmel. it got tons of recipes.
