a big lump after vaccines
Hi, everyone
My 6-month-old little girl got vaccines yesterday ( 5 in one-DPT,Hip,Polio etc)
and pneumococcal conjugate vaccine.
But last time when she was 4month, it was ok, nothing seemed to be a problem, but yesterday she got huge lumps on both thighs with a bit redness.
When I touch them, it feels very hard.
Is it because i didn't rub those parts enough after the injections?????
I am a bit worried. will it go away??????

My girl had the same; just lasted for a day. Does your girl seems completely normal otherwise? If she is playing and eating as normal, it should indicate that all is fine. You could take her temperature to check she doesn't have a fever. Call the dr if you're at all worried.

My son had a huge hard lump since his last vaccination when he was 18months old last year. He is now 29 months old, almost a year after the vaccination, and the hard lump is still there, though it's half the size now. The doctor said it's ok. I was also worried as the lump is hard and doesn't seem to go away but since the doctor said it's nothing serious, I hope it'll go away within then next year or so??
