Confinement Nanny and Food Delivery

Has anyone recently used a confinement nanny whom they would recommend? I searched through the older threads, but havent seen anything recently.

Also, is Terreform still in business? I was hoping to check out their website about food delivery but cant get it to work. :(

Terraform is still in business. It is called terraform plus http://www.terreformplus.com. The only thing is the website is in Chinese and they don't have any English brochures, so one of the ladies from terraform translated a brochure for me in English about a week ago. The full meal packages for 30 days include breakfast, lunch and dinner and prices range from $7,388 to $14,800. Meals are delivered daily. I can send you the brochure (English) version if you like, please send me a PM.

Hi Jaetee,

If you can speak Cantonese/Mandarin, I can recommend one that I have just used (Oct). She is quite good and I highly recommend her. But she does take her client based on where they are located for convenience sake, unless you are willing to pay for her transport cost I suppose? Her charges are $70 per hour, you can negotiate. She is a very good cook!

She is a typical Confinement Chinese lady who will do the traditional stuff for you if you let her know in advance what you need and how you need things done. She is easy to get along with. I got her through
the Labour Department, I had another lady whom I didn't choose because she seemed demanding and only willing to do things her way.

She will too bathe the baby, basically, I found her very helpful.

Does she do any basic house clean at all? I heard some of them do not help out at all. I am talking about only hoovering / mopping.

Hi Alicaris,

I don't think the person I am referring to is what you need.
This is the "FIRST MONTH Chinese Confinement" lady who looks after the welfare of the mothers who has just come home from hospital.
I don't really think they do housework like cleaning / mopping. Only cooking
traditional "Pui Yuet" stuff :)

I hope I explained myself clearly here?!
It's just that some of the "Pui Yuet" ladies only cooks just for the mother, won't do anything more, where as this lady will cook enough for the whole family. Additionally, she does not speak a word of English!

Im looking for confinement nanny (Puei Yuet) from around end of january for a month. Do they stay in or just work for few hours.I am hoping they can live with me for a month. Pls tell me more details.
