No. It depends upon the father if he has more x or y chromosomes

We conceived our first son by IUI and then went on to have our second son completely naturally.
My friend conceived both a girl and then a boy on two seperate IUI attempts so it is possible to conceive a girl.

Our son was via IUI, still waiting for an ultrasound on the second to determine gender. I did hear that boys are more common with IUI.

when they "wash" they sperm before insemination, it is a type of centrifugal wash. apparently the lighter, faster male sperm rise to the top and the heavier, slower female sperm are at the bottom of the wash, the last to be inserted, and therefore, since they are slower anyway, you are slightly more likely to have a boy with iui.
forgive me if this is an old wives tale or has been proved incorrect...nine years ago when i did my first and only iui this debate was kicking around.

Hi all just joined this forum and was wondering if anyone could advise on a good place for iui. What would be the cost? I had a miscarriage in March and we have been ttc for 5 months, without success. How long do you think I should wait to go into iui treatment. It's very frustrating and heartbreaking, is there anyone else out there going through the same thing??
