How Long Did It Take You to Conceive?

Another GeoBaby survey.

Once you and your partner decided the time was right to start a family or grow your family. How long did it take for you to conceive?

Wow, I can't believe how many responses for 1-3 months, I am very suprised. For us it was 9 cycles the first baby, and 1 the second baby

For us, it was so quick that I was impressed w/ how successful our birth control methods had been prior.

I think maybe you hear more from those who take a while to conceive. After all it's not particularly tactful to go around trumpeting how easy it was for you, if others you know are struggling.

I have to agree that if you didn't have trouble getting pregnant you don't want to tell many people because others may not be so lucky.

My best friend lost her first child during her first trimester (but is pregnant again and into her 15th week), while good friends of ours have been trying for years and just received news that unfortunately they will not be able to get pregnant and must consider other options.

I thought we would have trouble getting pregnant so I was VERY surprised when the honme pregnancy test (OK... I took 4) came back positive. I thought it would take us at least a year.
