    Hi there,

You might like to contact some charities for domestic helpers. They may be able to help you and your helper with things such as accommodation for the helper during maternity, or finding a temporary helper.

You could contact the Mission for Filipino Migrant Workers 25228264, or Christian Action's Domestic Helpers program 2739 6193 for advice.

    Good luck!

    myriam

if you find that she is pregnant before you hired her, you can terminate her without paying any fees or you can ask Labour Dept. for more info. U need to talk to her who will take care of her baby as her baby cannot stay in your premises. Based on the contract, only the maid can stay in your premises. Some of the domestic helpers insurance doesn't include the maternity cost and she needs to pay by herself. So I think you are better talk to her about the situation. Next time, remember to ask your maid to have body checkup in Hong Kong before starting to work as I don't believe the medical examination result in Phil. or Indo.
