    Papaya

Is it ok to eat papaya in the second trimester? I still have severe constipation and its driving me nuts. I have become very cranky and angry and cannot seem to find a permanent fix for my problem.
Any other suggestions are also welcome.
    Thanks!

I was constipated too and ate Papaya a day. Should be fine.

i was lucky, did not have constipation problem. I drank at least 1.5 litre water a day, plus lots of vege/fruits.

Have you tried eating dried prunes or fresh salad on a regular basis? Works OK for me.

I feel ripe papayas are ok (from online posts and articles), but my husband is not convinced that it is safe. I do try to drink a lot of water, but still not much relief. I guess I'll have to eat a salad everyday (I have celery everyday). Have been drinking prune juice also (a glass a day). Somehow I still have trouble. Lets see what changes a salad a day brings about. Really feeling unhappy about this. Also have huge constipation related pimples now. :(
