How old is preschool age? What difference to kindergarden?
What age do children go to pre-school? And is it the same as kindergarden? What age is that? And what age do they start primary school? Thanks!

You can find out more from:
http://www.emb.gov.hk/index.aspx?langno=1&no***D=4150
Eg.: At what age are children suitable for entry to the kindergarten?
Normally, children at the age of three are ready for kindergarten education. However, in response to the preference of many parents for matching the age of children entering kindergarten and their age of entering primary school, the minimum age for children entering kindergarten in September was relaxed to 2 years 8 months starting from the 2001-2002 school year.
So before kids are ready to be admitted to Kindergartens, they can go to pre-school as early as 1.5 yrs to 2 yrs depending on each school's requirements.
Kids start primary schools at 5 yrs 8 mth. Hope these helps.
