Baby Self Soothing
Since he was a baby, D has always played with my hair and have read its one of those self-soothing activities that babies can’t get enough of. If we're watching TV or when he's really tired he'll still try and grab my hair, but it’s a lot less than before. Glad he’s finally growing out of it. Just wondering other ways babies can soothe themselves. The most obvious I guess would be sucking their thumbs. Any others?

Hi Rani, My first son was a bit like yours and either liked stroking my hair or my arm, however my 2nd likes to self settle by himself and either has a dummy (it was his thumb in the beginning before his first teeth arrived), a teddy bear or just the cot sheets. He strokes them.
My Brother always used to play with peoples ear lobes and I still play with my hair now when I'm very stressed, upset or having trouble sleeping.
