Insurance for Confinement lady

Does anyone know whether I need to, and if so where, I can get insurance (for employer's liability and accidental insurance etc) for confinement lady who's working for me full time for 2 months after the birth of my baby? Many thanks for your advice!

Yes, you do have to get her insured. I got it from my insurance agent, and it was really cheap( I think it was only around HKD100).

Thanks, Bear. Can you let me know from which insurance company you got it from? Thanks!

I wonder if she'd be covered under the Domestic Helper insurance. Maybe you can call HSBC and see if they can help

They can be but i understand that it is sold on a yearly basis so as I'm only hiring my confinement lady for 2 months, the 10 months' premium would be wasted. They are not covered under the part time domestic helper either cos they would be working more than 20 hours per week during the 2 months' employ (i'm hiring mine full time). Will have to do more digging around!!
