what to do with bad smell from used diaper?

I used to put the poo poo diaper into the diaper bag and dump it to the bin with cover. but no diaper bag for wee wee diaper. And I put the Japanese charcoal stick into the bin bottom, to abosorb and kill the bad smell.
Not sure is it becasue of the weather temperature is getting hot now, the bad smell is full of the bathroom.
I will wrap the wee wee dipaer into diaper bag now.
But then what else brilliant idea from any of you?
please share, thanks.

I have a bin in the bathroom lined with a plastic bag for when my daughter soils her diaper with wee. I will tie up the plastic bag and reopen it again if I have a new soiled diaper to put in. If she poos, I usually take it out of the house immediately and leave it in an allocated rubbish disposal section near the back staircase (where the cleaners collect twice a day). If she manages to fill the whole plastic bag with wee (like if she wees 5 times in the morning), I take this out of the house too. Don't know how else to go about it otherwise.

Our diaper pail didn't work as well as when it was brand new. The poop smell took a long time to go away and now the lid has broken (I don't remember the brand). Now We just throw the pee diapers in a garbage can lined with plastic cover and the poop diapers immediately in the back stairwell which gets collected a few times a day.

Thanks for share, MayC and Mintycat.
Since I did wrap the wee diaper into the plastic bag, the situation is getting control.
However, I still will check out from those UNY, Wingon, see any strong absorb smell item, that I can use.

If it's not sticky poo, I usually drop poo from nappy straight into the toilet and flush it, then put nicely sealed nappy into bin. If sticky poo, then I seal nappy in nappy/plastic bag before it goes into the bin. Bins are emptied end of the day by hubby :)

i have a tomme tipee diaper pail. i think it works great. i put the wee diaper inside just as is. for poos, i arap the diaper in a diaper dispose bag first. if you don't have a diaper pail, i'd put one designated garbage bag next to our large garbage big, put a bottle of disinfectant/freshener (lke lysol), everytime you put in a poo diaper, spray the inside of the bag before you tie it up. it should do the trick.
