carrycot/basinette in a taxi
I will have a car seat for use in our own car, but wondered if anyone has put a carrycot or basinette on the floor in the back of a taxi? this is the advice of a HK govt. site i found for when you can't access a car seat.

This is govt. advice? I don't see how a carry cot/bassinet will offer any protection for a baby in the event of an accident, wether it is on the flr or not!!!!

ridiculous advice. Get a car seat (eg maxicosi) and keep your baby safe. they're fine to use in Hong Kong taxis.

When DD was younger, we took our Peg Perago infant car seat with us on the taxi.
