Hi, we have recently moved to HK and are thinking of living in the Hung Hom area, our son will be 3 years old in July and after years of moving around really needs to start schooling, any ideas on kindergarten etc especially close to the TST or hung Hom areas?

Lots of choices in Kowloon Tong. And school bus arrangement can be made.

There is Victoria International Nursery adn Kindergarten in Ho Man tin which is close to Hung Hom. Visit their website www.victoria.edu.hk
My daughter went there last year and she loved it. They provide the best care for children. Good environment compared to those in Kowloon Tong
They have school buses too.

What works best for one child does not work for another. Haven't always heard good things about Victoria (check out the other threads). Therefore, it is worth checking out the kindies in Kowloon Tong and other areas near your home, too. There are loads of them, and each one is different. Nevertheless, I would consider the distance from home to school - a 3-yr-old might find it tiring to 'travel', even in a schoolbus.

Heard that Learning Habitat is popular. It has a campus at Laguna Verde, Hunghom.

I am also looking in Hung Hom area too. You may try Cannan, Learning Habitat, Good Health Internation Kindergarten and Deborah. They are all in Whompao.

i send my daughter to Deborah International Kindergarten. They have a few kindergartens in Hung Hom alone. The difference is in terms of the language and syllabus. Site 7 offers an international syllabus using English only, site 9 offers a bilingual English-Cantonese with a bit of Mandarin and the site 2 is for local stream.

I like the class teacher as she is very understanding and patient with my questions/concerns esp during the earlier period of the new school term recently. And I think she does a great job with the children and never fail to call me if my girl is not well or if there is a special concern. I suppose that explains why my girl says she loves her teacher too. The other staff are helpful and friendly as well.
