    Which water's best for baby?

Just wondering what most people do for water in Hong Kong specially for babies -- have heard that the tap water is unsafe - is this true? If so, is it better to use the Watsons' mineral water bottles - or boil the water and filter - or just boil (but doesn't that kill all the good stuff in water too?) Confused so grateful for any insights! Thanks.

heard that distilled water is no god either. i alternate between WildAlps and filtered water (by reverse osmosis), for the filter i joined a maintenance plan that come to my place to change the filter every 3 mths. so i don't have to worry about forgetting to change the filter. usually ppl join a change very 6 mths plan, but i live in an old bldg, i prefer to be safer & change them more often.

The water in HK is safe to drink when it leaves the water plant- the problem is the pipes it has to pass through to get to you and that's where it might pick up something you wouldn't want a baby to drink. Plus, our tap water, tastes disgusting!

We alternate between WildAlps (spring water for babies, available in PnS) and normal mineral water.

we use a doulton (made of ceramic) filter that my mom got in wing on. it gets rid of the heavy metals. but we still boil our filtered water. it tastes better after it's been boiled.

    Which water's best for baby?

We boil our water, because I find it a hassle to order water, and we have a filter that works wonders. I mean its not that convenient to always have to order stuff. Plus children need to adapt. I think its good to buy organic food, order water, etc, but their bodies need to adapt to their environment as well. Otherwise wouldn't they develop fussy eating habits and even more allergies in the future? Balance is important...

Also bear in mind that many doctors recommend NOT to give babies minersal water - I think because of the higher levels of sodium etc - too much for little kidneys.
Boiled tap (filtered) water is best - that way bub gets the added flouride also. (good for growing teeth)
