Insurance for helper

Dear all,

Can anybody tell me where should I buy insurance for my helper which is the most economical with reasonable coverage?? This is first time I hire helper and she is going to be on board on 8th June and I just recall I have not bought insurance for her yet. Need to sort this out quick. Normally what does such insurance cover and how much it cost?? I do not use agent so really appreciate any help on this. Many thanks.

Contact kwiksure, we have always been pleased with the insurance policies they have suggested for our domestic helpers. They have various policies that they can reccomend.

Oh.......just realized that the name did not come up! Must not be able to advertise a company. Give me a pm OR do a search for brokers and you should be able to find the company I am talking about. They are well known in the community.

If you have home insurance like the HSBC Home Insurance, you can just call them up or go online to add a couple to three hundred dollors (per year) to include a domestic helper's insurance. If I remember correctly, it even includes some basic medical care as well.

Is there any difference between the insurance premiums and coverage for a full time vs part time helper?
