Anyone else put on weight whilst breastfeeding?

I had read all the info which claimed that breastfeeding helps your uterus shrink and to lose weight. Hmpff - me and a couple of friends PUT ON weight from breastfeeding... My uterus may have shrunk but the rest of me put FAT on!! hahahha Well just wanted to share!

yes yes yes! I lost most of my weight in the first few months, but after that now that he isn't feeding as often i have not lost anymore, but put on a couple of kgs! Its because i still have the same appetitie but he is only on 3 breastfeeds a day now, 1 bottle feed.

I have heard that once you stop feeding, often you can loose that unwanted weight around your hips quicker! - not sure if that is true.

I put on weight during BF since I have to eat a lot, otherwise not enough milk for my LO. I stopped BF her at 6 months and went back to my original weight within 2 months but got pregnant again with the 2nd one the next month. So......

i have put it on with both of my kids.... honestly, i can't wiat to reclaim the body i had before...i'm aiming for the one i had 10 yers ago....i'm now at least 1.5 of what i was....boo hoo!!!

I didn't put on much weight while I exclusively pumped for my older daughter. But once I stopped it at 9 months, I put on a few pounds.

I lost a lot of weight in the first 3 months and then put more weight back on after that. My appetite was much bigger and better at that point probably because she was feeding so much more.
